Our History
Dan and Allyson Magda moved to the Central Coast from Santa Cruz in 2003 to pursue a simpler life in rural San Luis Obispo County. Having worked as a technician in the automotive industry for many years, Dan saw a need for an Independent Service and Repair shop geared toward European vehicles in the North County of San Luis Obispo. So in 2004 High Line Automotive was opened to serve that community.
Since it's opening, High Line has been accepted with open arms by the residents of the North San Luis Obispo County. They have been noted as providing a dealership alternative to European vehicle owners and have grown their business through the referrals of their many satisfied clients, above and below the grade.
Today we continue to serve the San Luis Obispo County community out of our facility on Traffic Way, next to the Atascadero Community Center. We strive for second to none customer service and offer:

- Wireless high speed internet for our guests who choose to wait
- Cold water for those hot days & warm tea for the cold ones!
- Complimentary car wash (time permitting)
- A convenient location, 1/2 mile from the Carlton Hotel, and next door to a park, if you choose to wait

We understand automobiles are often a large investment at High Line we focus on "preventative maintenance" as recommended my factory specifications to keep your vehicle safe and reliable as long as you own it. High Line Automotive is a state licensed Automotive Repair Facility specializing in service and repair of Volvo, Mercedes-Benz, VW, BMW and foreign vehicles. We look forward to serving you!

It's Dan's experience as a line tech in one of the country's leading independent Volvo repair shops that e
nabled him to open High Line Automotive. Dan's speciality is Mercedes-Benz and Volvo but thoroughly enjoys all German and European vehicles. Dan enjoys his spare time on the local lakes, bass fishing!
Scott Groomer ~ Technician
Scott joined us in 2008. He attended Wyotech Automotive Institute for formal technician training and has been in the field for several years. Usually you can find him under the hood, but when he's not at work, he loves to volunteer for search and rescue for San Luis Obispo County.
