Our History
Dan and Allyson Magda moved to the Central Coast from Santa Cruz in 2003 to pursue a simpler life in rural San Luis Obispo County. Having worked as a specialized technician in the automotive industry for over 14 years, Dan saw a need for an Independent Service and Repair shop geared toward European vehicles in the North County of San Luis Obispo. So in 2004 High Line Automotive opened to serve that community.
Since our opening, High Line has been accepted with open arms by the residents of the North San Luis Obispo County. We've have been noted as providing a dealership alternative to European vehicle owners and have grown the business through the referrals of our many satisfied clients, above and below the grade.
Today we continue to serve the Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, BMW, VW and foreign automotive community out of our facility on Traffic Way, next to the Atascadero Community Center. We strive for second to none customer service and offer:

Daniel Magda ~ Owner
It's Dan's experience as a line tech in one of the country's leading independent Volvo and Mercedes-Benz repair shops that e
nabled him to open High Line Automotive. Dan's speciality is Mercedes-Benz and Volvo but thoroughly enjoys all German and European vehicles. When he's not under the hood, Dan spends his spare time on the local lakes, bass fishing!
Jesse ~ Technician
Jesse joined the team at High Line Automotive in 2010 as Lead Technician. He's a central coast native and attended Wyotech Automotive Institute for formal technician training, then moved on to Mercedes Benz Factory training and has been in the field for over 10 years, mostly at the Mercedes dealership Autobahn Motors in the Bay Area. When Jesse's not at work, you can find him with his family, racing his motorcycle, or out in the country, hunting!
Bryan ~ Service Advisor
We welcome Bryan as the most recent addition to the High Line team. Serving you from the front office, he'll be your friendly contact updating you on your vehicle's status when it's in the shop and recommending how to proceed when your car needs repair. Bryan joins us from a long lineage in the automotive industry, over 18 years as a customer service and parts professional. We are thrilled to have another central coast native as part of our team!
Casey N. ~ Customer Service
We are excited to introduce you to, Casey. We had been on the hunt for a good shop helper and apprentice for some time when we found Casey. You've probably seen him around the shop all summer and in the afternoon until he finishes school. Dan is particularly excited to have a young man to train up in this industry, where we are starving for good technicians! In his free time Casey likes to dirt bike, hunt and is part of the High School Choir. When he's not busy washing cars and cleaning up around the shop, we make him sing to us!
